Retail POS Software Profile
Photoshop is the Ultimate Image Software. Period
In 1989, Adobe set out to create the ultimate graphic manipulation tool. And they did it, by setting their sights high and involving artists, designers and photographers to contribute to this legendary software’s meteoric growth.
They listened. They improved, version after version. They reacted quick to bugs and glitches. And the result is a program that quite simply allows you to make almost any image a reality. In short : No one even comes close to Photoshop.
It is limitless in terms of options and combinations. As someone who has been using Photoshop for almost 20 years, I’ll be the first to tell you that I still have much to learn. It’s just too vast. Every version is an improvement.
Photoshop is the foundation of creative P.O.S. Production
When it comes to making brands “POP” off the shelves in retail, it takes more than just the will to succeed. You gotta have some eye-catching imagery as well. That’s the hook. To get “boxes into baskets“, you have to grab some attention.
In the right hands, Photoshop can be a powerful tool. Especially when that someone understands how colours, images and pictures work together.
“Whatever your imagination can come up with,
Photoshop can help to create it”
Maximizing the impact of every pixel
There is a bit of a mystical science behind creating Photoshop Imagery. It’s a mysterious language of measurements and settings that are native to most of those in Retail Point of Sale Production.
Photoshop works in pixels. Those tiny coloured squares that make up the images in digital photos.
Pixel images or Raster images (*as they are sometimes referred to) are everywhere today.
Photoshop is a tool that assists in the manipulation of these pixels. Nothing more.
The Dots per Inch (DPI) determine the resolution of these images.
The higher the DPI – the higher the resolution.
Understanding what level you require for a POS project depends on many factors. But when you get it right – the results can be amazing.
Photoshop is an industry standard
If your business is Retail Point of Sale Production and/or Packaging, you need Photoshop in your arsenal. But even more important that – the talented individuals to put behind it. That’s where the magic happens.
